African Union theme 2022: “Strategies and Mechanisms for the Transparent Management of Covid-19 Funds”
In recognition of the progress that has been made and cognizant of the need to continually reflect on approaches to end corruption, the African Union designated 11 July as the African Anti-Corruption Day. This year marks the sixth edition of the African Anti-Corruption Day and is being commemorated under the theme “Strategies and Mechanisms for the Transparent Management of Covid-19 Funds”. The day serves as a basis for all anti-corruption stakeholders, including the civil society to reflect on the strategies adopted and measures to enhance transparency and accountability and reinforce the anti- corruption crusade especially in the wake of emergencies such as the Covid-19 pandemic.
To mark the African Anti-Corruption Day 2022, ICAC Mauritius has produced a short video comprising stakeholders’ views on the need for transparent management of Covid-19 funds.
