Report To : Director of Investigations
QUALIFICATIONS
- A. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Forensics, or Digital Forensics or related fields from a recognized institution or an alternative qualification acceptable to the Commission and
- B. At least three years’ post qualification experience in computer investigation and analysis and exposure to computer forensics tools and
- Possession of certification in the related field would be an advantage.
- Candidates must be conversant with the relevant prevailing Legislations
Candidates should produce written evidence of experience/knowledge claimed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
- To provide technical assistance and support regarding investigation
- To participate in Search Operations
- To secure, examine and analyse digital evidence, including evidence obtained from mobile phones
- To gather and maintain evidence
- To perform data recovery on systems and/or devices
- To capture and analyze data at rest or in transit
- To conduct examination using forensic tools available in the Division, including use of industry accepted forensic tools such as X-Ways, EnCase, Cellebrite, Nuix, and FTK
- To ensure that chain of custody of exhibits/digital evidence is maintained at all times
- To write and review investigative reports
- To attend Court as and when required
- To identify training needs of users and advising the Management accordingly
- To perform such other duties directly related to the main duties listed above or related to the delivery of the output and results expected from the Digital Forensic Expert in the roles ascribed to him
Note: Candidates must be prepared to work at odd hours, including during weekends and on public holidays
